We have grown over the years and are continually recognized as an industry leader in customer service, product quality and engineering innovations.We are currently looking for an experienced Receiving Clerk who is driven and safety conscious to join our Receiving department. This company is looking for someone who values teamwork and is eager to work in a fast paced environment.

Summary:The Receiving Clerk will work in a warehouse setting that receive regular shipments of stock and inventory. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for unloading and inspecting delivered goods to ensure that all products ordered are received by the organization. As a Receiving Clerk, you may unload, count, and record the receipt of shipped goods while ensuring that orders have been correctly satisfied. The Receiving Clerk will report shortages and damages that occurred during shipment to their Manager or directly to the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator.

  Major Responsibilities will include:

  • Communicate with shippers and managers on the status of received goods and any potential damages may need to be resolved.
  • Monitor all procurement requests of facilities and ensure accuracy in all inbound inventory and maintain records for same
  • Unload and unpack shipments of products
  • Inspect shipments for damage and correct quantities
  • Report damages or shortages to the appropriate person
  • Match shipments to their associated purchase orders and enter receiving data on paperwork
  • Record receiving data in company databases
  • Prepare and organize received stock for inventory
  • Return damaged products to senders
  • Monitor inventory levels
  • Assist in optimization of logistics processes
  • Handles incoming shipments and verifying the accuracy of shipment documents and inventory transactions
  • Receiving inspection, data entry and work order issues
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communicational skills
  • Able to develop rapport and relationships with all levels of employees
  • Ability to quickly adapt to current conditions and to multi-task efficiently and effectively
  • Must perform all work in accordance with all safety procedures
  • Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities
  • Will perform duties in both office and Manufacturing plant environment
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required
  • Must perform all work in accordance with all applicable safety procedures
  • Able to work Overtime based on production requirements
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years Shipping & Receiving process analyzing complex data and working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced distribution operations environment
  • Software/Technical Skills (Intermediate)
  • MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Warehouse Management System Knowledge
  • Knowledge of warehouse and distribution to include Receiving, Inventory Control, and Shipping processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization as well as professionally represent the company to outside parties
  • Ability to foster and build relationships with direct reports and cross-functional team members throughout the organization and engage with customers in a professional, business-like manner
  • Ability to effectively explain and interpret organizational policies and procedures
  • Skills in problem solving and critical thinking with attention to detail and follow-up
  • Ability to work as needed, particularly during high volume periods, to ensure that departmental objectives are accomplished
  • Capacity to apply a good understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving variable in standardized situations; understand fundamental flow of shop material and its problems or material handling
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 20-25 lbs.; occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
  • Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
