Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our team. The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts in accordance with company standards and customer specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machinery, blueprints, and quality control processes. They will be responsible for producing punched/formed parts by setting up and operating a CNC (computer numerical control) machine, maintain quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and tooling.
The CNC Machine Operator will have several Roles and Responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:
- Set-up and operate equipment according to production schedule
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans and hand sketches
- Proficient in use of measuring equipment such as dial caliper, micrometer and tape measure
- Verifies part programs and tooling set-up, checks first-piece and obtains approval from inspection before production run
- Maintains equipment by following standard equipment operation/maintenance procedures, following manufacturer’s specifications; requesting maintenance dept. for repairs when needed
- Documents production and keeps proper part count
- Maintains all CNC tooling by requesting sharpening and/or purchase of tooling
- Keeps up set-up sheet documentation for all CNC’s organized and up to date (latest revisions)
- Organizes and keeps work area clean and free of any obstructions promoting a safe work environment
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; ToolingU, reading technical publications
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
- Must perform all work in accordance with all applicable safety procedures
- Able to work Overtime based on production requirements
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

- Understand fundamentals of material flow through production floor
